I have used this product multiple times and had great success with it.I wrote my own directions for use through trial and error. Before filling I sprayed the pan very well with "Baker's Joy" (a baking spray) and had no problems getting the balls to release when done. Each depression uses about 1 tblsp. of cake dough which is about 1 cup per pan. One cake mix fills the pan close to 4 times. Each batch bakes between 12-13 min at 350* and then I'd let it cool about 3-5 min. before opening to pop the balls out.There are sliding tabs on the top portion of this pan that lock the 2 sides together so the pops come out close to round, just a little egg shaped. Not all pans have these and I've read they can separate as they bake giving you an awkward shape. The cake mix does pop out the top hole of each opening as it bakes so I just flick those tops off before opening the pan.It would be smart to purchase two of these pans because the remainder of the unbaked cake dough has had to sit and wait on the counter at room temp for quite a long time before all the dough is used. Even then, the last batch would rise the same as the first batch with no problems.Since I have not made cake pops but many cake balls for a polka dot cakes, I don't have any experience using the sticks. For my purposes it would be nice if the ball size was just slightly larger.
