Despite hurricane Ike, item arrived on time as stated. This is a beautiful wooden mold. Picture does not show but there's a lacquer finish inside the mold area for easy cleaning and to assist non-sticking. Be awared that moon cake molds are not all the same. There is a slight variation of the design from what is shown on the pic. The one I had received have a couple of Chinese characters and it is of high quality made. I still gave 5 stars because although, the item is not exactly as it showed, the item was better than I expected.

I tried my first moon cake not too long ago and decided I wanted to learn how to make them. I received the mold and was very impressed by the skill of the crafter. There is so much detail and it is sure to make very nice looking moon cakes. The inside has a lacquer coating that should assist in removing the cake.
